Barnaby Bear and Magic Grandad help children examine features of the coast, sea and beach, comparing the seaside as it is now with the seaside in the past.

The resource tackles the QCA schemes of work for history and geography that relate to the seaside, as well as pulling out several of the strands for science, including: plants and animals, rocks and soils, pushes and pulls, and habitats.

A lively range of focused literacy activities link to the Primary Framework for Literacy, and speaking and listening skills are encouraged and supported throughout.
